The Australian Ballet, one of the world’s premier ballet companies, will make its Jamaican debut, with the inaugural broadcast of The Sleeping Beauty, at Palace Cineplex, on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at 11:30 am, under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency, Mr. John Pilbeam, Australian High Commissioner to the Caribbean.

In 2012, Movie and Entertainment giant, Palace Amusement Company (1921) Limited added to its entertainment package by introducing Alternative Content with The Met Opera: LIVE in HD.  In less than five years, this exciting offering, which not only expands the company’s entertainment package outside of movies, but also exposes the Jamaican audience to sporting events, concerts, theatrical performances and cultural experiences, from across the globe, live and encore – without expensive price tags.

The Australian High Commission in the Caribbean, lauds Palace Amusement’s introduction of their esteemed national ballet company to the Jamaican audience, and the celebration of an aspect of the Australian culture.  In support, The High Commission has joined forces with Palace Amusement Company and The Gleaner Company (Media) Limited in presenting the inaugural encore broadcast of The Australian Ballet’s – The Fairy Tale Series, The Sleeping Beauty at Palace Cineplex.
