The 2016 Junior Market, JSE listed, used car dealer Jetcon, has been a big hit with investors and car enthusiasts, since it listed in March 2016. Investors pushed the price of the stock by 376 percent, with interest continuing against a backdrop of strong growth in sales and profit. Car buyers bought into the excitement, driving revenues up 61 percent. to 610 million, 9 months to September 2016, and profits up 141 percent for the 9 months, to 67 million. Up to Friday, February 3, the stock price had grown by 367 percent. March 24, 2017, marks the full year of the listing.
At the time of listing in 2016, Managing Director and Founder, Andrew Jackson, said the Company was poised and ready for further growth and expansion and that the Junior Market was an ideal vehicle to propel the business to the next level. In keeping with the move, Jetcon expanded its board of directors, to strengthen its expertise in business, management and finance.

The other members of the board are Dr. Christine Clarke, Lecturer, and former director of the Bank of Jamaica.
